Privacy Policy

The short version

• We use your home address to show satellite imagery of your own yard and to identify one local, vetted installer who covers your area — not to build a marketing list.
• One quote per homeowner. If you submit a request, it goes to a single installation partner for your area. We do not sell or resell your contact information to multiple contractors.
• If you request follow-up, you are asked to consent separately to calls and texts about your request. We do not call or text you before you give that consent.
• We use PostHog for product analytics and store submitted requests in a Supabase database. See the sections below for detail on both.

Information we collect

We collect information in a few different ways.

• Information you provide. If you request a quote or installer follow-up, we collect your name, email address, phone number, property address, selected court footprint, colors and layout details, map placement, and the time of submission.
• Consent records. When you submit a quote request, we record your affirmative, unchecked-by-default consent to be contacted by call or text about that request, along with the time it was given. This supports our obligations under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and similar state laws. Consent to be contacted is never a condition of using the free planning tool — it is only collected when you actively submit a quote request.
• Address and map data. When you search for or select an address, the address, its geocoded coordinates, and the resulting satellite map view are processed to show you a to-scale court on your own property and to match you with an installer who serves that area.
• Usage and device data. We collect page views, clicks, referrers, browser and device details, approximate location derived from IP address, and error or crash data through PostHog, our product analytics provider.
• Attribution data. We record the marketing source of your visit — such as UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) and referrer — using first-touch attribution stored in your browser's session storage, so we can tell which channels bring in real quote requests.
• Local browser storage. The site uses browser storage to keep your in-progress design and submission confirmation available as you move through the planning flow.

How we use information

• Show a to-scale court overlay on satellite imagery of your property.
• Match your request to one vetted local installer and share the details needed for a quote.
• Contact you by call or text about your own request, only after you give consent.
• Operate, secure, monitor, debug, and improve the site and the quote request flow.
• Measure which pages, features, and marketing channels lead to real quote requests.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect the site against abuse, fraud, and misuse.

When we share information

We may disclose information in the following situations:

• The one installer matched to your request. If you submit a quote request, we share the address, layout, color choices, and your contact details with a single vetted installation partner who covers your area, so they can prepare a fixed-price quote and contact you. We do not sell your information to additional contractors or lead marketplaces, and we do not send the same request to multiple installers.
• Service providers. We use third parties that help us run the site: hosting, mapping and geocoding (Mapbox), product analytics (PostHog), database storage (Supabase), and transactional email delivery for the quote and confirmation emails.
• Legal and business events. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a merger, financing, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business.

Calls, texts, and consent (TCPA)

When you submit a quote request, the form includes a required consent checkbox that is unchecked by default. You must actively check it to confirm you agree to be contacted by call or text — including by automated or pre-recorded means — about your request, at the phone number you provide. We record that you gave consent and when.

Message and data rates may apply to text messages. Consent is not required to use the free court planning tool — only to submit a request that an installer will follow up on. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to a text, telling the installer directly, or contacting us using the details below.

Analytics, attribution, and similar technologies

• PostHog, our analytics provider, may use cookies, local storage, or similar identifiers in your browser to recognize returning visitors and measure how the site is used.
• We record the first-touch marketing source of your visit (UTM parameters and referrer) in session storage so we can measure which channels lead to quote requests. This data is tied to your session, not sold to third parties.
• You can usually control cookies and storage through your browser settings, but some site features may work less reliably if you block them.

Where information is stored

Quote requests, including contact details, property address, design selections, and consent records, are stored in a Supabase-hosted database. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect this data, including access controls limiting who can view submitted requests.

Important note about design links

A design or planner URL may contain a property address and map coordinates. If you copy, share, or forward a link to your in-progress design, treat it as sensitive — it may reveal the property you were evaluating.

Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including quote handling, operations, recordkeeping, and legal compliance. Retention periods may vary by data type and by the settings of the providers we use.

Your choices and requests

You can use the court planning tool without submitting a quote request. If you want to access, correct, or delete information you submitted — or withdraw consent to be contacted — email [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL, e.g. privacy@willitpickle.com] with the address or email you used in your request. We will verify your request and respond within a reasonable time.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a Do Not Track setting. At this time, the site does not respond to Do Not Track signals with a separate collection mode. We do not knowingly allow third parties to use this site for cross-context behavioral advertising, but analytics, mapping, hosting, and infrastructure providers may still receive device and usage data as described in this policy.

Children's privacy

The site is intended for a general audience planning home projects and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to the site, contact us at [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL, e.g. privacy@willitpickle.com] so we can review and remove it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, but no website or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the effective date above.
